New Adult Class Opportunities

“Joining Jesus as a Family” by Greg and Susan Finke is a handbook focused on Christian parents. In addition, it is very helpful for grandparents and all Christians wanting to lead others in their lives to Jesus.
Beginning on Oct. 1 through Dec. 3, “Joining Jesus as a Family” will be offered as an adult education class during the Sunday School hour, utilizing a new video curriculum and the handbook. Led by Steve & Nancy Lord.
Life To Life Discipleship: An Experience in Intentional Discipleship
Tuesday evenings at 6:30 PM beginning October 3
In the great commission Jesus told his disciples to, “Go make disciples of all nations.” This command is for every baptized Christian. The problem is this: knowing we should do something, and knowing how to do it are two different things. Before giving His disciples this commission to make disciples, Jesus spent three years teaching them how to be disciples. This Life to Life discipleship experience is similar. It is designed to help us be more intentional in both being Jesus’ disciples and making disciples. It will give you tools to help you grow in faith and help others do the same (prayer, bible, talking with others).
I will hold a brief information meeting Tuesday, October 3. I hope you will join me on this exciting journey.
There is a signup sheet in the Fellowship Hall for those who are interested. For more information, go to

Greetings BFLC Family!
As you may have heard, we are launching a new Sunday School curriculum called The Gospel Project in Sunday School (and Wiggle Worship) this year. In short, the Gospel Project is designed “to help our kids learn the gospel story of Scripture, love the author and subject of that gospel story, and then to live out their part in this ongoing gospel story.”
This fall, our Sunday School classes (from pre-K all the way to 12th grade) will be focusing on the gospel story as it unfolds through Jesus’ death and resurrection and our Wiggle Worship class during the 10:30 AM service will be learning about Creation, the Fall, and God’s plan to redeem His creation from sin (from Genesis). You can learn more about the Gospel Project at https://gospelproject.lifeway.com/.
In Psalm 145:3-4 David writes, “Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.” I am excited about the opportunity our kids ministry team has to “tell of God’s mighty acts” to our kids this year. Would you pray with me that God would help us to be faithful in raising up the next generation to know and love the Lord?
By His Grace,
Andrew Koetsier
