Classes and Activities coming up in May and through the summer and fall.
Sunday Adult Classes at 9:30 AM
Pastor’s Class – “What happens when you die?” starts May 5
New Member Class is held in the Sanctuary through May 12; New Member Reception is May 19
A class called “A Man Named Martin Luther” is held upstairs in Room 26. May 12 & 26
We’re excited to host an Outdoor Concert with Kenny & Claire, Thursday, May 30 at 6:30 PM. Kenny & Claire are a husband-and-wife Folk/Americana duo based in Nashville, TN who are working to modernize old Christian hymns in a contemporary folk style. We are excited to welcome them to perform an outdoor concert here at Black Forest Lutheran Church in our worship area! We will be hosting a potluck dinner before the concert at 5:30 PM followed by the concert at 6:30 PM. Please consider bringing a dish to share (for the potluck), extra chairs, a jacket (if it is cold), and a donation to bless them with a love offering for sharing their talents and ministry with us!
Vacation Bible School, July 22 – 26 Vacation Bible School with Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp staff – Monday, July 22 – Friday July 26. This year’s theme is “Created to be…Loved.” VBS is always an outreach to our children as well as the children in the community. It provides a great venue for introducing children to Jesus and growing them in their relationships. Contact: Andrew Koetsier or Lisa Regennitter. Invite a friend!
Crossways Bible Study – Coming this Fall! Tuesday Evenings Do you want to read the whole Bible? Join me as we work our way through the scriptures in 2 years. We will meet on Tuesdays from 6:30-8:00 PM, Sept. 3 – Dec. 16. Then, Jan. 6 – May 27 with a break for Lent. Materials are $110 for 60 sessions ($2/class). This includes 6 manuals, 6 student books, and biblical timeline. Sign-up in the Fellowship Hall or contact the office for additional details. 719-495-2221

Greetings BFLC Family!
It’s hard to believe summer is coming so soon! I pray your family keeps your eyes on Jesus as you aim to finish the school year well. We have been blessed with a great school year in our youth and family ministries at BFLC and look forward to a change of pace in the summer. Confirmation will be wrapping up soon and Sunday, May 19th will our last morning of Sunday School until the fall and our very first Wiggle Worship Graduation!
Please look through the activities and Save the Dates below. We look forward to an End of the School Year event together with the Youth at Cross Fellowship Church and an outdoor concert in late May, our Denver Mission Trip in early June, and VBS and a trip to Elitch Gardens in late July!
