Prayers for the Journey/Personal Bible Index

We are experiencing many different feelings and challenges as we each learn how to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. There are many directives from the Centers for Disease Control and suggestions for avoiding exposure or exposing others to the virus. There are also instructions for self-care for your physical symptoms, should you contract the virus. Unfortunately, they are unable to provide much hope these days. It seems bleak at times.

Thankfully, as Christians, we know the true healer and comforter that we can turn to when we are worried, grieving or just plain lonely while being socially distanced from our family and friends. During this difficult time we turn to our Master, the Prince of Peace.

Matthew 6:25-26

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink,[j] or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

Joshua 1:9

Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

God addresses all our struggles in the Bible. Attached are resources that can act as a springboard for digging into God’s Word in these uncertain times and also some prayers for opening up a conversation with Jesus.
