From Pastor Ken Hohag
Many of you have met our “pastor in residence”. Pastor Tsena, from Ethiopia, has been serving a Lutheran congregation in rural Wyoming for the past 3 years. He will be with us for a few months. Take time to get to know him by inviting him over for lunch or dinner. If you’d like to host him for some days in your house, please call the church office. Luther Movie Night Come join the Luther land trip group as we watch the story of Martin Luther’s Life, Tuesday, September 17 at 6:30 PM.
Choir
“Sometimes a light surprised the Christian while he sings” It is the Lord who rises with healing in His wings. `William Cooper We are inviting you to join us! We sing approximately twice a month at alternating worship times. If you are interested talk with Melanie Hohag. Choir will be starting September 4.

- New Member Class – Meet in sanctuary at 9:30 AM
- New Sunday Class – On September 8 and 15 the adult education hour will explore the book “Joining Jesus on His Mission” by Greg Finke introduced in the Pastor’s August 18 sermon. Steve and Nancy Lord were exposed to this discipleship concept at the NALC Convocation and would like to share it with congregation. Hope you can join them upstairs on those Sundays to learn what it means to be an everyday, ordinary missionary WITH Jesus.

Summit for middle and high schoolers kicks off Wednesday, September 4 from 6:00 – 6:45 PM. Come for fun and focus.
7th – 9th Graders: Confirmation Intro is Wednesday, September 4 at 6:45 PM. Meeting for all parents & students beginning or returning this fall, includes acolyte training and important details! Come early for Summit at 6:00 PM!
