Put out into the Deep
One of the best things Jesus said to Peter was, “Put out into the deep” (Luke 5). Peter had lots of reasons not to do it: He was tired, from working all night. He’d already tried the fishing spot and come up empty. He knew the lake like the back of his hand. Yet, when Jesus said, “Go!” he went. And it changed his life.
In the next 3 weeks, we will consider ways to leave the shallows and follow the Lord's call to, “Put out into the deep.”
Themes for Sunday Sermons:
February 17 - Trust The Lord
February 24 - Love Your Enemy
March 3 - Listen to Jesus
Ash Wednesday Worship
March 6 - 7:00 PM
Ash Wednesday is the beginning of Lent. It is the service when a cross of ashes is traced on our foreheads to remind us that we aren't on earth forever. Our lives will end sooner or later. It’s helpful to remember that, while we are limited, our God is not. Our lives are truly in His hands.
Then during Lent, we will meet together each Wednesday. Soup Suppers will begin on March 13 at 6:00 PM. Our peaceful Holden Evening Vespers service is 7:00-7:45 PM. I invite you to come each week to “Put out into the deep.”
Lenten Worship Choir Practices
March 6 (Ash Wednesday) practice is at 8:00 PM. Beginning March 13 through April 10 choir practice is at 7:50 PM
Occurring during the 10:30 AM Sunday worship service.
Wiggle Worship is a time where children are invited to join Jeremy in the Mountain Room following the Kids Chat for a time of singing, dancing, and playing. We ask that parents pick up their children at the beginning of the time of communion so that families may be together during the Eucharist.
