Letter from Jeremy
To the Wonderful Folks of Black Forest Lutheran Church,
It is with a heavy heart that Pastor Ken and I would like to announce that I will be departing from my role at Black Forest Lutheran Church by the end of May. I have dearly loved my time here at BFLC, but over the course of the last year I have realized that God has uniquely gifted and called me at this time to return to working as a classroom teacher. I will forever treasure the relationships and experiences I've had here in such a short time and it has been my honor to work alongside and with you all.
Though departures can be painful, I have striven to emphasize the importance of developing a ministry which is not dependent upon any one person, but on the collective work of the people as they are called by Christ to work alongside Him in the action of His Kingdom. In that regard, my prayer would be that you all continue the good work which has been developed among the children, youth and families of BFLC. As long as you continue to work toward the vision of helping to save the lost and the broken, we will forever remain aligned in our good work for the Lord.
To that end, many of you have my phone number and I would encourage you to keep in touch (as you know, I'm always up for coffee ^_^) and I would be more than happy to meet with you throughout the rest of the month.
When we start out on a journey we never know the length of the road, but I for one am very happy that I could walk this length of it with you all.
In Christ, Jeremy Ryan

We ask that parents pick up their children at the beginning of the time of communion so that families may be together during the Eucharist.
Every Sunday morning from 9:30 - 10:15 AM, middle and high school students venture together through the depths of challenging philosophical questions about the nature of God ethics and our world.
