From Pastor Ken

Our Annual Meeting is Sunday, February 6 at 11:45 AM. It’s a Potluck – so bring a dish to share!

The annual Sweetheart Dinner is Saturday, February 26 at 5:30 PM.
Our youth group offers a delicious dinner in a transformed Fellowship Hall served by our BFLC wait staff. Don’t miss this quality event!
Theme: Northern Lights

Ash Wednesday Worship
Wednesday, March 2 at 7:00 PM. Ash Wednesday is the beginning of Lent. It is the service when a cross of ashes is traced on our foreheads to remind us that we aren’t on earth forever. Our lives will end sooner or later. It’s helpful to remember that, while we are limited, our God is not. Our lives are truly in His hands.

Lent
Lenten Soup Supper and Lenten Service begins Wednesday, March 9 with a 6:00 PM Soup Supper followed by 7:00 PM Worship.

Joining Jesus on His Mission
Join us each Sunday for ten Sundays, starting February 20, for another round of Greg Finke’s “Joining Jesus on His Mission” class. If you are wondering what the fuss is about, or if you took the first class and would like to redo it, or if you’ve read the book and are super excited to take the class: now is your opportunity to sign up on the bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall!
Also remember we have monthly zoom calls with the author Greg Finke, as he walks alongside us in our endeavors to ‘Join Jesus on His Mission’. The next zoom call is scheduled for Tuesday, February 22 at 6:30 PM. Email Lisa for the link.

Our Lord Jesus has done and continues to do all the hard things, like being God, having died for our sins, rising from the dead, and loving us exceedingly more than all human love combined. We get the easy part like acts of kindness, consideration for the needs of others, and sharing the Good News of God’s love in other various ways including words. This is what the book/class are all about. It is simple, easy and life changing for most. Call or email me with any questions.
